Ministry of Metal
Ministry of Metal is an immersive, hands-on learning experience designed exclusively for architects and interior designers to strengthen your knowledge of an often-misunderstood material. Taking part will allow you to design, specify and talk with all project stakeholders about metals with confidence.
This will be a rare opportunity, over three sessions, where technical knowledge, material craft, and design sensibility collide. The experience will decode the four metals that define contemporary interiors: Brass, Stainless Steel, Mild Steel, and Aluminium exploring not just what they are, but how they behave, how they age, how they perform across surfaces and products, and how to talk about them with conviction when advising clients.
On the day:
• Hands on with real examples to see and feel the four metals in different states.
• Keynote presented by Joel Savage, director and fourth-generation custodian of the business, and James Groom, creative director and industrial designer.
• Your chance to be creative and customise your own tactile artefact from what you have learned.
• Grazing and drinks to fuel conversations.
Attendees who pre-register for a session will receive an exclusive, personalised metal artifact created by Savage Design as a functional reminder of the knowledge you have gained.
Three sessions are available. Pre-registration is essential for the personalised artefact. Walk-ups welcome.
